Our Practices

• Our software is installed only with your permission
• We do not collect or track personal information other than (i) in those cases where you submit such to participate in a promotion, sweepstakes, or other contest sponsored by Meep.com or an affiliate of Meep.com, and (ii) in the event that you opt-in to use the Site Metrics feature of our Meep Toolbar, where personal information is contained in the unsecured http requests of websites that you visit (for example, personal information in data submitted by you in a search query or in data included in a URL by the operator of a website, such as a username or other information relating to website registration).
• We allow you to disable certain search features if you feel they are not valuable to you.
• We make it easy for you to uninstall our software through the standard Add/Remove interface. If you no longer wish to use our software, simply uninstall it.
• We provide you with links to our customer service department.

Data Collection

When this Privacy Policy uses the term "personal information" we mean information that might help identify a particular person, such as their name, postal address, e-mail address, and telephone number.

We do not collect personal information other than personal information that is submitted by a user to enter into a promotion, sweepstakes, or other contest sponsored by Meep.com or an affiliate of Meep.com. In addition, we need to collect some non-personal data to monitor our performance and make sure our products are working properly. Specifically, we:

• We may use personal information that you submit to enter into a promotion, sweepstakes, or other contest sponsored by Meep.com or a Meep.com affiliate to administer the promotion, sweepstakes, or contest.In addition, we may use a third party service provider to administer promotions, sweepstakes, or contests, and we may share your personal information with such third party service provider.

You may be required to provide your name and email address when submitting comments or support issues via the support pages of the Meep.com site.

The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA") protects the online privacy of children under 13 years of age. Meep does not knowingly collect or maintain personal information from anyone under the age of 13, unless or except as permitted by law. Any person who provides personal information through registration or any other means to Meep represents to us that he or she is 13 years of age or older. If Meep learns that Personal Information has been collected from a user under 13 years of age on or through Meep products, then Meep will take the appropriate steps to cause this information to be deleted.

If you are the parent or legal guardian of a child under 13 who has become an Meep member, please contact Meep customer service to have that child's account terminated and information deleted.

Cookies

You download our cookies when you visit our sites and download our software. Our cookies are stored on your hard drive and communicate with our servers only when you are visiting our websites/search sites or are using the Meep Toolbar, including any of its search features or tools.

Meep.com's web and toolbar web search are powered by our search partner. Your search queries are passed to our search partner's servers to produce the results that are returned.

Our product is dynamic in much the same way as a web page. Some files reside on your computer and some reside on our servers. Bug fixes, new features and updates may be made to the product without notice.
